82. Georgian stoneware wine vessel

Large Georgian Folk Ceramic Wine Vessel

A decorative handmade Georgian ceramic wine vessel from the Caucasus region, dated approximately to the 1960s–1980s. The piece is crafted from stoneware, hand-thrown and hand-painted in traditional cobalt-blue tones on a warm cream-colored base.

The vessel features a striking stylized bird motif, a symbol of hospitality, abundance, and protection in Georgian folk culture. The sculptural bird-shaped spout and rich relief details give the piece a strong folkloric and artistic presence.

The vessel stands on a profiled pedestal base and is complete with its original ceramic stopper, which enhances both its decorative and collectible appeal. Originally used for wine or the traditional Georgian spirit chacha, today it serves as a distinctive interior accent and collectible folk art piece.
